

Leticia Arco García
Biography
Leticia Arco received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the Central University of Las Villas (UCLV), Cuba, in 2001 and 2005, respectively. In 2009 she obtained the Ph.D. degree in Informatics from the UCLV in collaboration with the Universities of Magdeburg and Oldenburg, Germany. She joined the VUB Artificial Intelligence Lab (AI Lab) as a Postdoctoral Researcher in 2019. She leads the research efforts in the AI applied team led by Prof. Loeckx. Currently, she became the principal Artificial Intelligence (AI) consultant in the frame of the VUB's Core Facility. In this position, she offers AI and methodological support in the form of consultations, AI coaching, data analyses and workshops. Besides the broadscale AI consultancy, she has a special interest in conversational analysis, machine learning, data science, and responsible AI engineering. As a postdoctoral researcher she is also involved in AI research, development, and educational projects.
